Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Patient Services Representative for the Glenview outpatient office. You will handle pre-registration, eligibility checks, consent collection, and enter data into Epic to ensure smooth visits for pediatric families.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong communication and customer-service skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. The team values confidentiality and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, third-party billing, and managed care requirements strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and EpicCare linkage.

Responsibilities

• Completes pre-registration and full registration for families.
• Ensures eligibility information accurate.
• Obtains patient/family consents for care and HIPAA forms; enters into Epic.
• Queries MyChart and Care Everywhere; uses Epiceare Link as appropriate.
• Schedules appointments and assists with referrals for same-day service.
• Collects payments (estimates, copays, balances) via system, as applicable.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Coordinates with staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
