Job summary

UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics in Camp Hill is seeking a Full-Time Patient Services Representative to support the office. Weekend and evening hours are required to align with operating hours.

You will greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copays, schedule follow-ups, and help patients navigate the healthcare system while promoting MyUPMC and biometrics registration. HIPAA compliance and insurance verification are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service role preferred.
• Experience with personal computer-based applications and office equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or health records systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copayments, and update information.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and connect patients to services.
• Help patients navigate the healthcare system and provide clear instructions.
• Register patients in Biometrics and promote MyUPMC portal.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them to resources.
• Verify insurance, obtain consent signatures, and follow HIPAA regulations.
• Handle phone calls, scan records, and perform office duties.
