Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of relevant experience in customer service, billing, registration, finance or accounting in a medical setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree can substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately in EMR and verify insurance coverage.
• Collect required payments and explain patient financial responsibilities.
• Assist with patient access to MyChart and government resources when needed.
• Coordinate with physicians and nurses to ensure referrals meet payor requirements.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charges as necessary.
• Support clinic operations and meet site collection goals.
