Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN coverage in our pediatric ambulatory surgery setting. The RN will provide perioperative and postoperative nursing care, monitor patients, and coordinate with dentists and anesthesiologists to ensure safe care in a fast-paced ASC environment.

Ideal candidates hold an active Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS, and have a nursing degree from an accredited program.

Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Knowledge of nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
• Current BLS upon hire
• ACLS and PALS within 60 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period
• Assess and document patient’s status upon arrival in the recovery room
• Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia
• Monitor patient and inform dentist or anesthetist of observed complications
