Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our pediatric ambulatory surgery team on a PRN basis. In this role you will provide postoperative/post-anesthesia nursing care in a fast-paced ASC environment, ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program, holds an active RN license, and has BLS; ACLS/PALS are required within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period.
• Assess and document patient’s status upon arrival in the recovery room.
• Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered.
• Monitoring patient and informing dentist or anesthetist of observed complications.
