Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago in Lincoln Park is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support daily clinical workflows in the outpatient/primary care setting.

You will assist physicians and nurses, perform phlebotomy, injections, ECGs, and intake activities, while maintaining EMR documentation. Applicants should have a high school diploma, completion of a Medical Assistant program, and CPR training; CMA or RMA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program.
• CMA (AAMA) or RMA preferred but not required.
• CPR training (Healthcare Provider CPR).
• Some college encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing as directed.
• Administer injections and topical medications.
• Perform ECGs and telemetry data downloads.
• Document data in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Assist with appointment check-in/check-out and basic administrative tasks.
