Job summary

10 HOSP Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is hiring a Medical Assistant for outpatient/primary care in Lincoln Park. The MA will support physicians and nurses, perform phlebotomy, administer injections, ECGs, and assist with patient check-in/check-out.

Strong communication with families and care teams is essential. The role requires completion of an MA program and a CMA/RMA is preferred but not required, with Basic Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Formal Medical Assistant program completed.
• CMA or RMA preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical tasks in outpatient/primary care under RN/APP/Physician supervision.
• Administers injections and basic medications.
• Performs phlebotomy and specimen processing as directed.
• Conducts ECGs and monitors telemetry as needed.
• Documents data in the EMR and assists with check-in/check-out tasks.
• Stocks and maintains clinic supplies and coordinates patient flow.
