Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Medical Assistant to support daily clinical duties in the outpatient setting, under RN/APN/Physician supervision. Key tasks include phlebotomy, injections, ECGs, and data entry in the EMR.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assistant program, 0–3 years of experience, and Basic Life Support certification. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program.
• 0–3 years of relevant clinical experience.
• CMA (AAMA) or RMA preferred but not required.
• Some college preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication/listening skills with pediatric patients and families.

Responsabilités

• Performs phlebotomy and specimen processing as directed by provider.
• Administers IM, subcutaneous, intradermal injections and topical meds.
• Performs ECGs, places Holter monitors, downloads telemetry data.
• Supports clinic flow and emergency interventions as needed.
• Documents data and changes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Assists with scheduling and basic check-in/check-out tasks.
• Obtains measurements and patient history during intake.
• Stocks and maintains clinic supplies and equipment.
• Follows disinfection and sterilization protocols as required.
• Completes trainings including Healthcare Provider CPR.
