Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Medical Assistant to support outpatient/primary care clinics under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Advanced Practice Nurse, or Physician.

You will perform phlebotomy, injections, ECGs, specimen processing, and front-desk tasks to help maintain smooth patient flow. A high school diploma and MA program completion are required, with 0–3 years of experience and BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Completed formal Medical Assistant program.
• 0–3 years of clinical experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other staff in outpatient pediatric care.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing as directed.
• Administer injections and skin testing.
• Perform ECGs and download telemetry data.
• Support clinic flow and scheduling activities.
• Maintain the clinic area and supplies.
• Adhere to disinfection, sterilization, and HLD protocols as required.
• Complete trainings including Healthcare Provider CPR.
• Other duties as assigned.
