Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks a Medical Assistant for our outpatient center in Northbrook, IL. You will perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, injections, ECGs, and basic clinical support to ensure smooth clinic flow.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and completion of a Medical Assistant program; CMA/RMA is preferred. Strong communication with pediatric patients and families is essential; BLS certification is expected where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and specimen processing when directed.
• Administers injections and various medications as needed.
• Performs ECGs and downloads telemetry data for a location.
• Provides front-desk support including scheduling and check-in/check-out.
• Documents patient data in the Electronic Medical Record.
