Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Medical Assistant for outpatient/primary care support. You will assist physicians and nurses under supervision, perform phlebotomy, injections, ECGs, and enter data into the EMR to help ensure smooth clinic operations.

Requirements include a formal Medical Assistant program, high school diploma, 0–3 years of clinical experience, and BLS certification. Some college and CMA/RMA credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant program.
• 0–3 years of relevant clinical experience.
• CMA (AAMA) or RMA preferred but not required.
• Some college preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association.

Responsabilités

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing as directed.
• Administer injections and intradermal/ophthalmic/nasal medications.
• Perform ECGs, place Holter monitors, and download telemetry data.
• Assist physicians and staff, and improve clinic flow.
• Provide back-up for scheduling, check-in/check-out, and intake tasks.
• Document data in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Stock and maintain clinic areas and supplies.
• Adhere to disinfection and sterilization protocols as needed.
• Attend trainings including CPR and related education.
