Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago in Northbrook is seeking a Medical Assistant II to perform phlebotomy, injections, ECGs, and clerical support in a pediatric outpatient setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an MA program, and 3+ years of clinical experience. BLS certification is required; CMA/RMA preferred but not required. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Formal Medical Assistant program completed.
• 3+ years of relevant clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Performs phlebotomy and specimen processing as directed.
• Administers injections (IM, subcutaneous, intradermal) and basic medications.
• Performs ECGs, places Holter monitors, and downloads telemetry data.
• Documents data in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Supports administrative tasks: scheduling, check-in/check-out, and patient intake.
