Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR in a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, OH. This PRN opportunity allows you to apply your passion for pediatric surgery and patient safety in a fast-paced OR setting.

The role requires OR (Peds) experience, an Ohio RN license, a BSN or in progress, and active BLS/ACLS. PALS is preferred. Flexible PRN scheduling and W2 employment make this a strong option for skilled pediatric OR nurses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Must have American Heart Association Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

• The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
