Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR in a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity offers self-scheduling and supports surgical care for young patients.

Requirements include a minimum 2 years of OR (Peds) experience, Ohio RN license, BSN or in progress, and active BLS/ACLS; PALS and CNOR are preferred. Background screening and onboarding are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN OR (Peds) experience.
• Ohio RN license required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• BLS certification required, ACLS certification required.
• PALS preferred; CNOR highly preferred.
• Background screening and onboarding requirements.
• Prior pediatric OR, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the pediatric OR, performing assessments and interventions to keep patients safe during surgery.
• Assist the physician and ensure continuity of care between the patient care unit and OR.
