Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR in a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity allows nurses to engage in pediatric surgical care with flexible scheduling.

Required are 2+ years RN OR experience, Ohio RN license, BSN in progress or completed, and current BLS/ACLS certifications. PALS preferred; CNOR highly preferred, with strong assessment and critical thinking skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN OR experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN license required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

• The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room.
• Performs assessments and interventions to keep patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in the plan of care and ensures continuity between the patient care unit and the OR.
