Job summary

Connecticut Children’s is seeking a perioperative registered nurse to plan and provide direct professional nursing care for patients through the episode of service. You will work under supervision, ensuring care aligns with policy, procedures, and state/federal regulations.

You will support unit leadership, delegate appropriately, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families while maintaining confidentiality and collaborating with the health care team.

Qualifications

• ASN/ADN required; BSN preferred with requirement to obtain BSN within 3 years.
• Minimum of 2 years recent perioperative experience.

Responsibilities

• CLINICAL PRACTICE - Provide safe, appropriate patient care per policies and standards.
• POPULATION SPECIFIC - Adapt care to neonate through adolescence with cultural sensitivity.
• UNIT LEADERSHIP - Delegate duties and mentor others.
• DOCUMENTATION/COMMUNICATION - Complete documentation per CCS policies; communicate with care team.
• PATIENT/FAMILY PARTNERSHIP & EDUCATION - Partner with families; educate on care aspects.
