Job summary

Connecticut Children’s is seeking a qualified registered nurse to provide direct professional care across an episode of service for pediatric patients. You will collaborate with families, applying nursing standards and CCMC policies while reporting to the Nurse Manager.

The role requires ASN, with BSN preferred and completion within 3 years. At least 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience is expected; pediatric/PACU experience is a plus. Endoscopy knowledge is beneficial.

Qualifications

• ASN required upon hire; BSN preferred and required within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience on Medical/Surgical unit; PACU and/or pediatric experience preferred.
• Endoscopy Nurse requires knowledge of surgical specialties relative to procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Practice- On a daily basis, demonstrates clinical expertise and uses the nursing process to provide safe, appropriate patient care.
• Population Specific- Demonstrates knowledge of the differences and needs of patients from neonate through adolescence and applies them to practice.
• Unit Leadership- Delegates duties and tasks and participates in leadership activities per policy.
