Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for a part-time night shift with on-call commitment, 24 hours per week, 7pm to 7:30am.

The role emphasizes family-centered care, leadership within the nursing team, and collaboration with providers to ensure safe, high-quality pediatric care. BSN preferred; valid Ohio RN license and BLS required.

This position is onsite in Akron, with responsibilities spanning care delivery, staff mentorship, and participation in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• BSN is required or must be obtained within 5 years of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Licensed RN in Ohio required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care with family-centered focus.
• Provide care for physical, psychosocial, educational and safety needs.
• Demonstrate leadership and mentor clinical staff.
• Deliver patient-centered care and participate in quality/safety duties.
• Collaborate with providers and use team-based approach for quality care.
