Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for part-time daytime hours (24 hours per week) located onsite in Akron, OH. The role requires a BSN or progression toward degree, an active Ohio RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required or to be obtained within 5 years of hire.
• Current Ohio RN license and BLS certification required.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and direct nursing care with a family-centered approach.
• Provide care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational and safety needs of patients.
• Demonstrate leadership, mentor staff and participate in education.
• Engage in patient-centered care and quality improvement activities.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure teamwork and high-quality care.
• Utilize informatics and technology in daily practice; may work across Akron Children’s Hospital
• Support operations and contribute to exceptional pediatric patient service.
