Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for a night shift in a part-time role. You will provide approved care under the supervision of an RN, help with activities of daily living, and assist with patient transport as needed.

You will document patient information promptly, communicate changes to the team, and follow infection control policies to maintain a safe environment for children and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent AND nursing assistant training or equivalent clinical rotation.
• Requires CPR training and maintenance of certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care - provide approved care under supervision of RN and assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with patient transport and one-on-one observation as needed.
• Demonstrate CARES behaviors and report changes in patient condition.
• Handle communications, document timely in patient records and follow infection control policies.
