Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is seeking a part-time Patient Care Assistant to support the A7NS Neurology & Neuroscience division. The role includes plan-of-care tasks, patient supervision, and assistance with daily living activities under RN supervision.

Shifts are night hours, with a 0.3 FTE. The job emphasizes safety, infection control, and timely documentation in the patient record, in a high-demand pediatric environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent AND one of the listed credentials or experience.
• CPR certification required; internal training offered periodically.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care - Provide approved care of assigned patients and assist in implementation of interventions under supervision of RN.
• Supervise and assist patients with activities of daily living; supervise developmentally appropriate activities.
• Assist with crisis de-escalation, patient transport, and 1 on 1 observation as needed.
• Respond to alarms, assemble charts, order supplies, stock clerical items; assist in training new employees.
