Job summary

At Cincinnati Children’s, a Part Time Night Shift Patient Care Assistant provides approved care to assigned patients under RN supervision, assists with activities of daily living, and supports co-workers to maintain a safe and compassionate environment. Responsibilities include crisis de-escalation, patient transport assistance, accurate charting, and adherence to infection control policies.

Requirements include a high school diploma and one of several credential paths or recent patient care

Qualifications

• CPR training and certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent with one of the listed clinical/credential paths or patient care experience.
• Internal training program offered periodically based on business need and availability.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care - provide approved care under supervision of RN and assist with activities of daily living.
• Demonstrate CARES behaviors, report changes, and document in patient record.
• Ensure a safe, organized environment, adhere to infection control and safety procedures.
• Provide administrative support, respond to alarms, answer calls, and assist with charting and supplies.
