Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is seeking a part-time Patient Care Assistant to support plan of care for assigned patients under RN supervision. You will supervise daily living activities, assist with patient transport, and help co-workers after completing duties while maintaining safety and infection control standards.

You will demonstrate CARES behaviors in interactions, report changes promptly in patient records, and participate in shift handoffs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of clinical rotation from ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA accredited program; OROhio STNA/CNA registry or reciprocal credentials; OR Ohio/National EMS Registry; OR 1 year of patient care experience in last 3 years; OR completion of organization's Patient Care Assistant training program.
• Requires CPR training and maintenance of certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care: Provide approved care of assigned patients under supervision of RN and assist in interventions.
• Supervise activities of daily living and assist with patient transport.
• Demonstrate Cincinnati Children's CARES behaviors in all interactions and document changes in the medical record.
