Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant in the Hematology/Oncology department for the night shift. This role offers 12 weekly hours and a 0.3 FTE status, supporting patient care under supervision of RNs.

Responsibilities include Plan of Care execution, ADL assistance, accurate charting, and collaboration with the care team to ensure safety and patient comfort in a busy pediatric setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent required; multiple credential paths available.
• Completion of ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA clinical rotation or equivalent.
• Ohio STNA registry or Ohio CNA; reciprocity if applicable.
• Ohio or National EMS Registry listing.
• 1+ year of patient care experience in the last three years.
• CPR training and certification maintained.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care - Provide approved care of assigned patients and assist in implementation of interventions under supervision of RN.
• Communication - Document and report patient status; maintain timely communication with team.
• Environment - Maintain safe, clean, and organized areas; follow infection control policies.
• Administrative Support - Respond to alarms, answer calls, assemble charts and supplies; assist in orientation of new staff.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA clinical rotation

Ohio STNA registry or Ohio CNA

Ohio or National EMS Registry

1+ years of patient care experience

CPR certification
