Job summary

Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Medical Assistant I for the Steele Creek Pediatrics clinic to support patient care, rooming, vital signs, and vaccinations. The role requires BLS and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; some divisions note 2 years MA experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training in lieu of MA program or EMT.
• 2 years verifiable MA experience in last 5 years (for some divisions).

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vitals, history, screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures and lab duties including venipuncture and POCT.
• Administer medications and vaccines per medication rights.
• Handle patient scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorizations.
