Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a patient service coordinator for the Medical Imaging department. This role handles inbound and outbound calls, schedules imaging appointments, registers patients, and ensures accurate Epic data entry.

The position requires a high school diploma, at least two years in a call center or healthcare setting, and strong communication skills. Competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Two years of call center or healthcare experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls for imaging modalities (X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, etc.) and schedule/registration.
• Facilitate scheduling of imaging procedures with internal and external providers.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility; complete registration as needed.
• Transcribe external imaging orders into Epic and schedule accordingly.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and assist in training staff.
