Job summary

Pediatric Associates Family of Companies is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to greet patients and visitors. You will check in and out patients, verify insurance, handle payments, and coordinate follow-ups.

The role requires attention to confidentiality, strong communication, and proficiency with medical terminology. The position may involve office and remote/telework rotation; light travel to other office locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office is preferred (1 year).
• Ability to learn Pediatric Associate procedures, policies and protocols.
• Proficient grammar, spelling and verbal skills for patient and staff communication.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of computer and medical terminology is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Check-in patients upon arrival; update demographics, insurance, PCP, and pharmacy.
• Check out patients; collect balances, provide visit summaries and referrals.
• Verify patient insurance through Batch Eligibility or on demand; contact inactive insurances.
• Post-patient charges and payments; reconcile charges.
• Scan and upload documents into the Document Management system.
• Sort and deliver mail and PA documents; maintain waiting area.
• Participate in staff and educational meetings.
