Pediatric Associates Family of Companies is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to join our pediatric care team in Apopka, FL. This role greets patients and visitors, collects information and payments, and provides general information as requested.

Responsibilities include check-in/check-out, insurance verification, post-patient charges, document scanning, mail handling, and supporting office operations while maintaining patient confidentiality and a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Upon hire, and for the duration of employment, a driver’s license must be active and valid.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Proficient grammar, spelling, and verbal skills for patient, provider, and staff communication.
• Ability to learn Pediatric Associates procedures, policies, and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Check-in patients upon arrival, update demographics and insurance information, collect co-pays and patient balances, and provide consents.
• Check out patients, collect balances, provide visit summaries and referral information, and schedule follow-ups.
• Verify patient insurance through Batch Eligibility or on demand; contact patients with inactive insurance.
• Post-patient charges and payments; complete charge and payment reconciliation.
• Scan and upload documents through the Document Management system.
• Sort and deliver mail and PA documents; maintain a clean work area and patient waiting area.
• Participate in staff and educational meetings.
