Job summary

Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care in Grand Prairie is seeking a Front Office Specialist to join our team on a seasonal-full-time basis. This role centers on accurate check-in, insurance verification, and friendly communication to families. You’ll be the first point of contact, coordinating with clinical staff to keep patient flow smooth while maintaining privacy and high service standards.

Current BLS certification and U.S. work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a background check.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Be the calm, welcoming presence families meet first
• Manage check-in, insurance verification, and payments without losing accuracy
• Explain wait times and next steps clearly and respectfully
• Juggle phones, walk-ins, and systems during busy shifts
• Document thoroughly in the EMR and protect patient privacy
• Work closely with clinical teams to keep patient flow moving
