Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Tech III to join the team in the evening shift (3p-11p). This role involves direct patient care, monitoring, and collaboration with nurses and physicians within a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, specimen collection, and supporting acute care teams across multiple units in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English in a clear and concise manner.
• Medical Terminology.
• Computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to gather information and support collaboration.
• Must have proven problem-solving abilities and stay calm under stress.

Responsibilities

• Provides clear, timely communication to the RN regarding observations and changes in patients.
• Maintains patient safety and performs safety checks.
• Assists with daily living activities and mobility.
• Performs vital signs and basic measurements.
• Assists with treatments and prepares equipment and supplies.
• Supports unit staff and participates in patient care procedures.
