Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Patient Care Tech III for the night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) in the Nursing 3 ICU area. This role supports RNs by providing direct patient care, monitoring, and safety in a high-acuity unit.

Under licensed supervision, the PCT III will handle tasks from vital signs to assisting with procedures, telemetric monitoring, and unit secretary duties as needed. A non-exempt position with a potential signing bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Experience in acute care/hospital setting or EMT/paramedic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under licensed supervision.
• Communicate observations clearly to the RN.
• Monitor and support safety and comfort of patients.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Take vitals, document accurately, and support charting.
• Assist with procedures and prepare equipment as needed.
