Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Patient Care Tech III in the Emergency Department for a part-time 32-hour schedule. The role supports licensed clinicians, provides patient care, and helps with daily living activities, transport, and safety.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and current Basic Life Support, with a preference for PCT II level experience, acute care, or EMT Paramedic background.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• 1 year acute care/hospital experience or 1 year EMT Paramedic experience or PCT II level competency.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of a licensed clinician.
• Communicate observations to the RN promptly.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Maintain safety and assist in de-escalation when needed.
• Support in various ER duties as assigned.
