Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
• PCT II level or 1 year acute care/hospital experience or 1 year EMT Paramedic experience.
• English communication skills
• Medical terminology proficiency
• Computer skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and stress.

Responsibilities

• Provides clear, timely communication to the RN regarding patient observations.
• Provides constant observation of high-risk patients as assigned.
• Maintains a safe environment and uses de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Assists patients with daily living activities such as hygiene, ambulation, and meals.
• Assists in moving, lifting, positioning, and transporting patients using proper body mechanics.
