Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers, LLC is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to serve pediatric and special needs patients. The RDA will assist dentists, scrubs for surgical cases, maintain instruments and rooms, and support patient care from intake to post-op.

Requirements include high school diploma, accredited DA program, active RDA license, 1 year RDA experience, and BLS. Spanish preferred; PTO, disability, and 401K offered.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Completion of an Accredited Dental Assistant Program.
• Current state license to practice as a registered dental assistant.
• One year of RDA experience.
• Current BLS Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist and anticipate needs of the dentist and anesthesia provider as it relates to instruments, sutures and supplies.
• Prepare for dental surgical cases by gathering supplies and equipment and maintaining inventory.
• Familiar with procedures and dentist preferences.
• Provide care based on pediatric and adolescent patient needs, considering development and safety.
• Assist with patient transfer from bed to gurney.
• Decontaminates and maintains equipment, rooms and stocks between cases as directed by RN.
• Follows CDC guidelines for decontamination and sterilization.
• Takes x-rays and maintains x-ray equipment; handles suction hand-pieces and syringes.
• Deliver specimens to the RN Circulator and assist in OR turnover and emergency care.
• Front Desk duties and Patient Service Coordinator responsibilities.
