Job summary

Responsibilities include assisting dentists and anesthesia providers, sterilizing rooms, taking x-rays, and ensuring supplies are ready for cases. A valid RDA license and BLS are required, with state-required screenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an Accredited Dental Assistant Program.
• Current state license to practice as a registered dental assistant.
• One year of RDA experience is preferred (implied by role).
• Current BLS Certificate.
• Background and Drug Screening Required.

Responsibilities

• Assist and anticipate needs of the dentist and anesthesia provider as it relates to instruments, sutures and supplies per technique, procedure and special requirements.
• Prepare for dental surgical cases by selecting supplies and equipment and maintaining stock and room readiness.
• Provide care based on the age-related needs of pediatric and adolescent patients and developmental considerations.
• Take and check x-rays; know and use x-ray equipment.
• Sterilize and decontaminate equipment and rooms between cases and at schedule end.
• Support front desk duties and patient service coordination as part of the role.
