Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers, LLC seeks a Registered Dental Assistant to support pediatric and special needs patients with clinical and front-desk duties. The RDA will scrub for procedures, prepare supplies, and assist dentists and the anesthesia team.

The successful candidate will have an accredited RDA program, current state license, BLS, and at least one year of RDA experience. Front desk duties and patient service coordination are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Completion of an Accredited Dental Assistant Program
• Current state license to practice as a registered dental assistant
• One year of RDA experience
• Current BLS Certificate
• Background and Drug Screening Required

Responsibilities

• Assist and anticipate needs of the dentist and anesthesia provider as it relates to instruments, sutures, sponges and supplies per technique, procedure and special requirements.
• Prepare for dental surgical cases by picking supplies and equipment, ensuring all necessary supplies are available, and maintaining inventory.
• Scrub for surgical procedures and assist with patient transfer from bed to gurney.
• Decontaminate and maintain equipment, instruments, supplies and clean rooms between cases.
• Follow decontamination and sterilization guidelines.
• Take and check x-rays; clean and check x-ray equipment.
• Stock and organize rooms between cases and after schedule; assist with OR turnover.
• Provide front desk duties and patient service coordination as needed.
