Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform CT scans, prepare patients, verify orders with the radiologist, and follow strict radiation safety protocols. The role requires ARRT radiology certification or NMTCB CT registry within one year of hire and BLS.

Responsibilities include obtaining patient history from EMRs, preparing patients for procedures, and assisting Radiologists during imaging and invasive procedures as needed, while adhering to safety and infection control

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT within one year of hire required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders with Radiologist before performing exam.
• Identify and assist patients, explain procedures and document on worksheets.
• Review EMRs to obtain clinical history and correlate results with exam performed.
• Operate CT scanners and perform invasive procedures with proper sterile technique as needed.
• Maintain radiation safety standards and report equipment malfunctions.
