Qualifications

• Position CT procedures per department policy and protocols.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain clinical history.
• Position patients and select techniques to visualize anatomy of interest.
• Perform venipuncture for radiopaque media and assist in informed consent.
• Review imaging requests for appropriateness; escalate questionable orders.
• Take verbal orders and enter in RIS.
• Maintain regulatory records and document billing codes.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologists and work independently with providers.
• Observe patient during exam and respond to status changes.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to student radiographers.
• Identify and report problems and critical events.
• Use supplies and equipment cost-efficiently.
• Maintain continuing education and applicable certifications.
