Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient, referring to Radiologist before exam and contacting the ordering provider for discrepancies.
• Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures, maintaining sterile technique and adhering to safety protocols.
• Interviews patients for medical history, documents on requisitions, and correlates results with exam; acknowledges changes in patient condition and initiates life support when needed.
• Operates radiology computer system to enter orders and document contrast administration; maintains a clean, stocked work area and assists other medical personnel during exams.
