Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking licensed Professional Engineers who can blend business development with rigorous technical work. You will handle client relationships, develop testing programs, and seal reports while managing field and lab coordination.

A strong track record in bringing in work and pricing negotiations is essential. Responsibilities include selling to GC's, owners, and design firms, writing proposals, and serving as engineer of record.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in the posting state or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
• Record of bringing in work or a credible plan to do so in this market.
• Comfortable pricing, negotiating, and saying no to a bad contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on projects you win: review data, resolve failing tests, seal reports/letters.
• Direct technicians and inspectors and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
