Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a licensed professional engineer who is comfortable selling engineering services and performing testing reviews. You will manage client relationships, scope and price proposals, and seal geotechnical letters as the engineer of record.

Responsibilities include leading proposals, coordinating field staff and lab testing, and representing the firm at meetings and industry events.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in the posting state or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection.
• Record of bringing in work or credible plan to do so.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a client book including general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record: review field/lab data and seal reports/letters.
• Direct technicians and inspectors; coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events.
