Confident Search Consultants in Great Falls, MT is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, on-site role. You will provide direct nursing care on a stepdown unit with emphasis on patient safety and optimal nurse-to-patient ratios.

The position requires Montana RN licensure, ADN, BLS/ACLS/PALS or willingness to obtain within 6 months, and post-graduate PCU/ICU experience. Pediatric nursing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
• Active Montana RN licensure or immediate compact/endorsement eligibility.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (or obtained within 6 months). EPNC/TNCC preferred.
• Post-graduate clinical practice in an advanced Medical/Surgical unit with ICU/PCU/Stepdown experience.
• Pediatric nursing experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to hemodynamically stable/predictably unstable patients on a PCU/stepdown unit.
• Manage diverse patient population including pre/post-PCI care and complex surgical cases.
• Monitor and intervene using advanced nursing assessment tools to detect deterioration early.
• Operate arterial/central lines, chest tubes, NG tubes, ventilatory support and IV pumps.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams from admission through discharge.
• Serve as a clinical leader on the floor, mentoring staff and guiding LPNs/CNAs.
