Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time, on-site work in Great Falls, MT. The role emphasizes excellent nurse-to-patient ratios, strong teamwork, and a supportive clinical environment on a PCU/stepdown unit.

The successful candidate will have ADN (BSN preferred), MT RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and PCU/CCU experience. Responsibilities include direct patient care, telemetry monitoring, and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
• Active Montana RN licensure (or compact/endorsement eligibility).
• Core certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (EPNC/TNCC preferred).
• Post-graduate MSU/ICU or PCU/Stepdown experience required with CCU/PCU nursing exposure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to hemodynamically stable or selected unstable PCU/stepdown patients.
• Manage a diverse patient population including pre/post-PCI care and complex surgical cases.
• Monitor for deterioration using clinical assessment tools and intervene promptly.
• Operate arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, NG tubes, and short-term ventilatory support.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams from admission to discharge planning.
• Act as on-floor clinical leader, precepting staff and guiding LPNs/CNAs.
