Job summary

Connectly Recruiting is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, on-site role in Great Falls, MT. The RN will provide direct care on a PCU/stepdown unit, handling pre/post-PCI, pacemaker closures, and complex surgical cases with a focus on high-quality nurse-to-patient ratios and teamwork.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN (BSN preferred), MT RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS; TNCC/EPNC are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in Montana (or compact/endorsement eligibility).
• Core certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; TNCC/EPNC preferred.
• Post-graduate clinical experience in medical/surgical with ICU or PCU/stepdown exposure.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to hemodynamically stable to unstable patients on PCU/stepdown.
• Manage diverse patient populations including pre/post-PCI care and complex surgical cases.
• Monitor and stabilize deteriorating clinical conditions using telemetry and assessment tools.
• Operate arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, NGTs, and short-term ventilatory support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from admission through discharge planning.
• Precept and support LPNs, CNAs, and ancillary staff on the floor.
