Job summary
Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC seeks a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, on-site role in Great Falls, Montana. You will provide direct nursing care on a stepdown unit, handling complex medical/surgical cases and pre/post-PCI care while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.
The position requires Montana RN licensure, ADN (BSN preferred), and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications (or within 6 months).
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
- Active, unrestricted Montana RN licensure or compact/endorsement eligibility.
- Core certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (within 6 months of hire). EPNC/TNCC preferred.
- Post-graduate clinical practice in a Medical/Surgical unit with ICU or PCU/Stepdown experience.
- Pediatric nursing experience highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to stable or predictably unstable PCU patients.
- Care for diverse patient population including pre/post-PCI care and complex surgeries.
- Monitor and intervene to stabilize deteriorating conditions.
- Operate advanced medical equipment (arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, vents).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from admission to discharge planning.
- Serve as floor leader, precepting staff and guiding LPNs/CNAs.
