Job summary

Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL is seeking a Progressive Care Unit RN to provide specialized care for patients with acute or chronic conditions. The PCU RN will monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient status during the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

The role requires an active RN license in the state and BLS certification, with ACLS and BSN preferred. Sign-on bonus of $20,000 is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current (preferred).
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of patients' conditions, including vital signs and neurological status, and respond promptly to deterioration.
• Utilize telemetry and monitoring devices to track cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, BP, and other parameters.
• Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Perform nursing interventions and treatments such as wound care, catheter care, suctioning, and oxygen therapy.
• Adhere to evidence-based practice guidelines, hospital policies, and safety protocols.
