Job summary

Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL seeks a Float Pool Registered Nurse to work nights in ICU/CCU/Telemetry/Med-Surg. The float RN provides patient care across units, delivering care for cardiac and general medical-surgical patients.

This role requires 1 year of RN experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification; ACLS is preferred and should be obtained within 30 days of hire. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates during the interview process.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience required.
• Current valid State RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate on hire and maintained.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintained (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac monitoring and telemetry to detect arrhythmias and report changes.
• Care for patients with infections, diabetes, post-operative recovery, and chronic illnesses.
• Monitor vital signs and conduct physical assessments for subtle condition changes.
• Administer medications for cardiac conditions, pain, and infection control.
• Manage IV lines, fluids, hydration, and check dosages for interactions.
• Educate patients on heart-healthy practices and post-discharge care.
• Guide lifestyle changes to improve cardiac health and prevent readmission.
