Job summary

Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL, seeks a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions requiring close monitoring and intervention. The PCU RN will support transitions to lower levels of care and work a 12-hour day shift.

Responsibilities include assessments, telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and implementing nursing interventions per physician orders.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in acute care hospital settings.
• Ventilator management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status.
• Utilize telemetry to monitor cardiac rhythms, SpO2, BP, and other parameters.
• Administer medications as directed and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Perform nursing interventions such as wound care, catheter care, and oxygen therapy.
• Follow evidence-based guidelines and hospital policies for infection control and safety.
