Job summary

Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL seeks a Float Pool Registered Nurse to support ICU, CCU, Telemetry and Med-Surg units during night shifts. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care across multiple units, ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualified candidates will have RN licensure in the state, BLS certification, and 3+ years of experience. ACLS preferred; BSN is a plus. Sign-on bonus of $15,000 is offered for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• 3 years of RN experience required.
• Current valid State RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac monitoring, observe telemetry, report arrhythmias or significant changes.
• Address a broad range of conditions including infections, diabetes, post-operative recovery, or chronic illnesses.
• Monitor vital signs and conduct detailed physical assessments to detect subtle changes.
• Administer medications for cardiac conditions, pain management, infections, or chronic disease management.
• Manage IV lines, administer fluids, monitor hydration, and watch for interactions or side effects.
• Educate patients on heart-healthy practices, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
