Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is assisting a regional healthcare system in Great Falls, Montana to recruit a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, on-site night shift.

This role emphasizes strong nurse-to-patient ratios and a supportive clinical environment. You will care for hemodynamically stable and select unstable patients, manage post-PCI and complex surgical cases, operate advanced equipment, lead floor activities, and mentor LPNs and CNAs, all

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
• Active RN license in Montana or eligible via compact/endorsement.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (or within 6 months of hire).
• Post-graduate clinical experience in an advanced Medical/Surgical unit; PCU/Stepdown experience.
• Pediatric nursing experience is highly desired.
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to PCU patients, including post-PCI and complex surgical cases.
• Monitor and stabilize deteriorating patients using advanced assessment scales.
• Operate arterial/central lines, chest tubes, and ventilatory support as ordered.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from admission to discharge planning.
• Act as on-floor clinical leader and mentor to LPNs and CNAs.
